The US Congressional Bill No. 2601 of 2005 for West Papua regarding the illegal Referendum in West Papua in 1969 will be reopened to be passed into law so that the President of the United States must work to review the illegal Referendum process.

The bill was drafted by Patrick Joseph Kennedy, President John's nephew. F. Kennedy supported by Samoan Congressman Eny Faleomavaega.

The United States has an obligation to resolve the West Papua vs. Indonesia Conflict because the United States brought West Papua into Indonesia through the New York Agreement on August 15, 1962.
