John Anari is upsetting Indonesia, Indonesia does not want the United Nations to listen to West Papuan demands.

On Monday 22nd April 2024 John Anari has presented a demand for the United Nations to obey its Charter and has therefore asked the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII) to recommend that the Economic & Social Council put the missing West Papua issue of UN General Assembly resolution 1752 on the agenda of the UN Trusteeship Council.

The UNPFII has been holding its 23rd session from 15th to 26th April 2024, and the above demand was made at a meeting of the UNPFII on 22nd April.
UN web tv says it was the 9th meeting of the 23rd session.

If the Committee and then the Economic & Social Council do as requested, this will cause the United Nations to begin decolonisation of West Papua starting with yearly reports by the Trusteeship Council about any and all events since 1962.

Details of the time and session details at which the attached request has been made, have yet to be clarified but it is a request that EVERY West Papuan should be supporting.
