Press Release from the Management of National Command Headquarters of West Papua National Liberation Army as of 30th of January 2024The management of the National Command Headquarters of West Papua National Liberation Army-Free Papua Organization has received an official report from the TPNPB Troops of Defense Region VIII Intan Jaya Command, Papua on January 29th, 2024, and in the report the Commander of TPNPB Defense Region VIII Intanjaya Brigadier General Undius Kogeya said that TPNPB troops from the VIII Intan Jaya Regional Defense Command had carried out an attack on the Regent’s Office of Intan Jaya Regency, and managed to shot one member of the Indonesian Military.

In this case, the TPNPB Commander of the VIII IntanJaya Defense Region Command, Bridgen Undius Kogeya, reported that armed contact had occurred between the TPNPB troops and terrorist forces, namely the Indonesian military and police at the Regent’s Office of Intanjaya Regency, Papua.

The attack by TPNPB troops occurred during a meeting between the Indonesian Military and the Regent of Intanjaya Regency, and information about this meeting was received by PIS from the TPNPB leadership.

The TPNPB Commander of the Intanjaya Regional Command VIII has received the report of the Joint Regent’s Meeting with the TNI/Polri from PIS TPNPB, then they moved quickly and carried out the attack. And then Commander Undius Kogeya also reported that the rotting bodies of TNI members in Titigi were only evacuated today, January 29th, 2024.

01/29/2024TPNPB troops at Intanjaya Region VIII Defense Command successfully were attacked the Indonesian military at the Regent’s Office, the capital of Intanjaya Regency at: 12 noon, Papua time.

Further report, in Intanjaya Regency the War Erupted Again and a shootout took place at 12:00 noon on Monday 29thof January 2024 between the TPNPB Troops and Terrorist Troops, namely the Indonesian Military and Police Personnel.

TPNPB troops carried out an attack on the Regent’s Office of IntanJaya Regency and succeeded in burning down a military post and also shooting dead one Indonesian terrorist member. And the bodies of the terrorist members were only evacuated by helicopter at 1:40 pm Papua Time.

The attack was carried out at the Regent’s Office of Intanjaya Regency under the command of the Commander of TPNPB KODAP VIII IntanJaya Brigadier General Undius Kogeya and Deputy Commander Apeni Kobogau as well as operations staff Lewis Koya.In the report submitted by the TPNPB Region VIII Intanjaya troops that they are ready to fight until Papua is independent, so we ask that immigrant civilians in this conflict area be immediately returned to their home villages.And we also ask that all activities of the Indonesian Government in Intanjaya Regency must be stopped, because we have given them Monday to immediately remove the statue of Jesus.However, the Indonesian Government in IntanJaya Regency and the TNI-Polri are lying to the people of West Papua from Sorong to Merauke and more especially the Indigenous Papuan people in Intanjaya Regency, therefore we will eliminate the Indonesian Colonial Government Regency on the traditional land of the Indigenous Papuans from the Moni Tribe, the Lani Tribe , Nduga and Mee tribes in Intan Jaya, Papua.
